A delicious sidedish that is quick and easy. Servings are approximate.
- Prepare asparagus: hold base of eash stalk firmly and bend. End will break off where stalk becomes tough; discard ends.
- With a sharp knife or potato peeler, remove scales.
- Trim rough ends to make even.
- In 12 inch skillet, over medium heat, melt butter watching so it doesn't burn.
- Add asparagus, lemon juice and salt.
- Cover and cook till tender-crisp, about 5 minutes, turning occasionally.
