A recipe I found on "About.com" for Spanish beverages. Here is what is stated: Most of Spain is hot in the summers, so Spaniards have plenty of ways to keep cool. So, "claras" or lemon beer, (also known as a Shandy) is a popular summertime drink. Luckily, it is easy to make and is very refreshing.
- 12 ounces beer
- 12 ounces lemonade
- Pour half the beer into each glass. Slowly pour the lemonade into the 2 chilled tall glasses or beer mugs.
Great way to cut the alcohol in beer - and so lemony refreshing!
I made these last week for my "all lemon" dinner with our guests. I am not a big 'mixed drink' fan, but these were very good, and will be a great addition to serve at our cocktail bar at our summer cook-outs/gatherings. Thank you for posting this recipe. Very refreshing, and so easy to make with two ingredients that are always around here in the summer! Thanks for sharing. ZWT8
