I added canned cherry pie filling and skipped the water. I frosted with non-fat cool whip. I made a second batch with blueberry pie filling and did the cool whip frosting trick. They make a great Fouth of July potluck treat. I may try key lime and cherry for Christmas since it was such a big hit.

I thought it was too sweet but everyone else loved it. When I make this for family, I just cook fruit in the microwave and add a a little over two two cups of it. You can add sugar If you have a sweet tooth but I prefer mine plain. I also skip topping or frosting.

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. Beat cake mix and water in extra-large glass or metal bowl on low speed for 30 seconds; beat on medium speed for 1 minute.
  3. Add lemon pie filling and mix well.
  4. Pour into ungreased 15x10 jelly roll pan.
  5. Bake 25 minutes.
  6. Cool and frost.
