This was a very good dish. I used skinless, boneless chicken breasts beause that was what I had on hand. Perhaps that's what caused me to not have enough 'juice' to baste occasionally, as stated in Ev's recipe. Nevertheless, it was really tasty and my picky eater daughter loved it, that alone merits an extra star! While cooking, my house was filled with the scent of lemon, garlic and basil. Thanks for a winner Evelyn!

loved this recipe. quick to prep and great tasting. i think it would be useful if i knew what to baste with as there was no excess liquid in my pan either. next time i will use left over butter mixture and see how that works.

I made this tonight for dinner and my family loved it! Even my picky 10-year-old son. I used skinless, boneless chicken and fresh basil from my garden. It was so yummy. The chicken came out so juicy.

Lovely tasting chicken, the taste and ease of preparation makes it a 5 star. Lemon and basil is a lovely combination. When I was putting it together I thought that 1 hour cook time seemed long, so I put the timer on for 40 minutes to check it and sure enough it was done to a turn. Maybe it's my oven but I don't think so, the chicken was lovely and moist, delicious, I'm sure had I cooked it longer, for the whole hour, it woud have been dried out. I too used boneless, skinless breasts and had no juice left to baste with, perhaps with boneless/skinless it absorbs more when being coated. DH loved it and wants it on a regular basis, so we will be making it again, thanks for sharing a good one!!
