A simply special mash.
We enjoyed these mashed potatoes very much. They were easy to prepare and they had great flavor. I used a sauvignon blanc for the white wine and cremini mushrooms. I also used olive oil instead of vegetable oil. I would definitely make this recipe again. I served it as a side to Mustard-Rubbed Pork Loin With Blackberry Mustard Sauce 373834. Thanks for posting! Very nice change from plain mashed potatoes. The clerk at the grocery store forgot to put my mushrooms in the bag, so I ended up using some reconstituted dried mushrooms ( a mix of 3 or 4 kinds) and that worked fine. Loved all of the subtle flavors in this dish, and it didn't need gravy :) Made for Spring 2009 PAC.
I had one leek and a couple of potatoes just waiting to be used and picked this recipe to use them and I am glad I did! These went great with a couple of steaks! Thanks for sharing!
