Cook Time:
I made this one Friday when I had about 10 minutes to get a pot of soup together. You can put this together in under 4 minutes if all the ingredients are at hand.
Ingredients:
1 cup
split peas
1 cup
yellow split peas
¾ cup
dehydrated onion
1 package
frozen
mixed vegetables
2 tablespoons
soup mix
Directions:
1
Combine all in a 5 liter pressure cooker, add water to the line.
2
Place on the flame and let cook away under pressure for about 25 minutes.
3
Let the pressure come down naturally.
4
Serve with croutons.
Ratings & Reviews:
Was quick and easy and taste very good. I think it would taste even better with the addition of a piece of leftover ham or bacon added.
UPDATE: When I first revied this recipe I did not realize that it was listed under Jewish and Kosher catagories as wel. This of course would preclude my suggestion of adding any type of pork to it. That in mind pehaps a piece of smoked turkey or chicken would taste equally nice. The soup was very good on it''s own too.
