I loved that I could come home and the lasagna was ready to pop into the oven! Also loved not cooking the lasagna noodles. I did use half of my own spaghetti sauce that I took out of the freezer mixed with a bit of store-bought spaghetti sauce instead of using all store-bought sauce. I used a mix of 2/3 lb ground sirloin and 1/2 lb italian sausage. This turned out perfectly! Thanks so much....I took a pic, but it was nighttime and the cheese, etc. didn't make for the best photo with a flash. I'll try again tomorrow and hope for a bit of daylight!!! Made for Zaar Cook Book Tag.

This was so easy to throw together, and so tasty! I forgot to add the water, but had added a little extra tomato sauce anyway (my jar was bigger than 32 ounces), and it still turned out great! Used mild Italian sausage instead of the ground beef, but think it would be good either way. Also added more cheese to the top about 15 minutes before it was done cooking :)

This is a great recipe for so many reasons. Ease of prep, flavors, etc. I love that this can be made ahead- very helpful for Manic Mondays or when company comes. I made small changes- I used whole wheat noodles, and I used ground turkey. Additionally, I subbed red wine for the water like another reviewer. It was just excellent. Thanks for this keeper recipe.

Amazing lasagna!!!!! This is the best lasagna that we have had since I can't remember when! We all had seconds and my kids didn't even finish the garlic bread, which isn't typical. I liked how it was kind of inside out - with all the cheese oozing out of the centre. Fabulous! I know that we will enjoy this again. And again. And again!!! Made for Went to the Market. Thanks LARavenscroft! :)

Wonderful main meal that made a busy day for me so much easier when it came time for dinner. I have not boiled a lasagna noodle in years but find the way I do it the noodles are still a bit too firm but this recipe takes that issue away as the sauce has time to soften those noodles to a perfect texture. The only little change was I reduced the water to 1/2 cup and used a small jar of tomato paste mixed into it as the addition - just wanted to boost the jarred sauce. Kids and hubby loved it! Thanks for sharing your recipe! Made for 123 Hit Wonders.

A great lasagna recipe: easy to make and delicious! :) We enjoyed it with Simple Spanish Green Salad quite some time ago and tonight had a serve which had been frozen. The only changes I made were to add some minced garlic (a must-include ingredient for me!) and to use merlot instead of water. I just can't read "water" in an ingredient list without at least considering substituting wine. Loved the make-ahead element and how flavoursome this dish was: a great blend of flavours. Certainly a recipe I shall be making again. Thank you for sharing it.

Perfect lasagna! This is very similar to my lasagna, but I don't do the overnight thing or put chives on it. Both variations made this even batter. I really liked tha chives(I usually use oinions) because they added a bit of a sharper flavor and not cooking the pasta made the layering soooo much easier. Great idea, great recipe!

Delicious normal lasagna again and easy for a lazy day. I found it taste best a day after it was cooked. I used lean ground beef which I cooked in canola oil and added a little sea salt whcih is not needed, Classico jarred pasta sauce plus some tomato paste and water as I didn't have enough, I did not have parmesan so I just sprinkled the top with shredded mozzarella which I also used throughout, plus the rest of the ingredients. I layered mine in three layers instead of most of the meat sauce on top. Served a salad on the side with Creamy Italian Dressing. I may make this again.
