      Beat sugar, eggs and vanilla extract together till creamy.

      Mix in the flour, baking powder and salt.

      Melt butter in milk and add to batter.
    4. 4
      Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.

      Melt together the topping ingredients and pour over hot cake as it comes out of oven.

      Place under grill until golden brown.

      I really enjoyed this recipe, and it was really easy to make. For the frosting I used desiccated coconut, becuase I wasn't sure if the coconut should be whole or not.
