Lavender Margarita

"A deliciously simple recipe for a lavender margarita from tonight's episode of Great Cocktails on Fine Living. YUM!"

ingredients

• 2 ounces silver tequila
• 1⁄2 ounce Cointreau liqueur
• 1 ounce lavender simple syrup
• 1⁄2 lime
• sugar
• dried lavender

directions

1. In a shaker, combine 2 oz. silver tequila, 1/2 oz. Cointreau, 1 oz. simple syrup and the juice of half a lime and let sit.
2. On a plate, mix the sugar and dried lavender and use it to rim the outside of a rocks glass.
3. Fill the glass with ice.
4. Shake and strain the contents of the strainer into the glass.
5. Enjoy! ;).

This recipe was a wonderful surprise! The lavender is so delicate which turns a tart and tangy margarita into an elegant cocktail. The subtle lavender color is so pretty.

Wow! This was muy fantastico! I did not have any dried lavender but had some lavender sugar that I made previously with some dried lavender and used that! MMMMM! Perfect! Not too sweet. Not too tart! I added a bit of purple food coloring to enhance the pretty purple color! This really hit the spot after a long day and was soooo very pretty! Gracias Mamacita Diva! *Made for ZWT 5*
