  1. Delicious, but I couldn't pair it with anything... Very refreshing. The only thing I will differently next time is less sugar. Otherwise, perfect poured over lots of ice on a hot summer day! Thanks for sharing.

  2. What a lovely change for a glass of lemonade. Super simple to make too. I used Splenda for he sugar but otherwise it was made as directed with the dried lavender. I let the syrup steep for 2 hrs and thoroughly enjoyed the result with it's sweet-tart and essence of lavender flavor. Made for Pool Party Tag 5/10.

  3. This is so delicious! I used fresh lavender and I probably let the sugar, water and lavender steep for about 3 hours, while making some other recipes. What an easy recipe this was for how many ooh's & aah's it got from my family. I can't wait to make it for our summer BBQs! Thanks for sharing, BarbryT! :D Made & enjoyed for Spring 2010 PAC-O.

  4. Really refreshing, even on a cool Fall day. I used dried lavender, but looking forward to trying this during the summer with fresh lavender from my garden. I used Splenda instead of sugar. Made for Fall 2009 PAC.

  5. I made this for a potluck at work--soooo good! I actually used a total of 7 cups water, as many people don't like either lavender or lemon as strong as I do. I used 2 Tbsp. dried lavender flowers and steeped them for about 15 min. before straining and sugaring. The lavender water was a purplish grey, then when I added the lemon juice it turned bright pink... awesome chemistry experiment there too! Tastes great, is so pretty, and I think it would be great taken warm with honey instead of sugar to soothe a sore throat in the winter, too!
