It is creamier than normal latte as it has a lower proportion of water. It gives you both the benefit of protein and calcium from the milk as well as the coffee taste, so is an ideal start to your day. You can use skim milk if you want, but then it would be less creamy.
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 1 -2 teaspoon instant coffee granules
- 1 packet sugar substitute (equals 2 tsp sugar)
- 1 little hot water (not more than 1 Tbsp)
- Dissolve the coffee granule and sweentener in hot water.
- Gently pour in the milk and mix well.
- Chill before serving.
soo yummy. i never found a way to do this myself until i got this recipe. you saved me a daily (and might i add, expensive) trip to starbucks
This latte was very good! I used 2 teaspoons of hot water to dissolve 1 teaspoon of coffee granules. I poured it into a glass and added the cold milk and sugar substitute. I then put a few ice cubes in the glass, so I could drink it right away. It was really good, but I'm thinking next time I will try 2 teaspoons of coffee granules to get a stronger coffee taste. It's refreshing and tastes wonderful! Thank you for sharing. Its as light as water and I loved it with my Nescafe brand of instant coffee. Will make it again, for sure!
