My first attempt at making ice cream. I do not have an ice cream maker, so used a blender several times while it was chilling in the freezer. It is rock hard and a tad icy as a result, but that's 100% my fault. Taste is excellent, still has that yogurt tang. I used 1/2 cup sugar instead of 2/3 and added a bit of splenda. I also used fat free milk and fat free plain yogurt. I had intended on adding the Kahlua, but someone drank it all... *looks around innocently*
Great stuff! Made as directed including the suggestion of adding 1/4 Kahlua at the end of freezing. The mixture was thick and creamy before freezing, and after a day and a half in the freezer, the finished product is not icy and scoops well. I used plain old instant Nescafe coffee and it has strong coffee flavor. Thanks for sharing the recipe!
