Meat sauce lasagne

Directions

  1. Brown ground beef, Italian sausage, onion and garlic.
  2. Add salt and the rest of the marinara sauce ingredients; stirring until well mixed.
  3. Simmer 1 hour and 30 minutes. (Let cool; then refrigerate overnight--for best taste).
  4. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  5. Combine cottage cheese, parsley, Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, pepper, eggs, and 1/2 of mozzarella cheese (shredded.
  6. Spray a 13 x 9" baking pan with cooking spray; layer noodles, meat sauce, and cheese mixture; repeat.
  7. Reheat marinara sauce.
  8. Top off with layer of noodles; sprinkle evenly with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  9. Cover pan with tin foil.
  10. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 30 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and cool for 15 minutes. (Put garlic bread into oven).
