Directions

  1. Cook onion, garlic and celery in oil until soft (but not brown).
  2. Add beef and brown.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  4. Cover and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer 3 hours until thick.
  6. Chill and refrigerate.
  7. Skim fat.
  8. Sauce should be thick enough to cut with a knife.
  9. Lasagna Preperation.
  10. Layer ingredients starting with meat sauce, then cheese and then noodles.
  11. Add Parmesan as desired.
  12. Once the dish has been filled, top it off with an even layer of mozzarella cheese.
  13. Cook for 30 minuets at 350 degrees F.
  14. This can be made ahead and refrigerated but allow a little extra baking time if it is cold.
