Even though I love the traditional lasagna with ricotta filling, I thought this would be fun to try. The sauce is so easy and "fuss-free!" I halved the recipe, using 3 layers of 2 noodles in a small rectag. casserole dish. This turned out delicious, a good compromise between lasagna and spaghetti with meat sauce! I used no boil noodles and they worked out well. Also, my son ate his portion (no complaints!) and he doesn't like lasagna, so that's a big compliment. It's probably the cheese filling that he doesn't like! Thanks for sharing your family recipe, TLC. Roxygirl

  1. Fry meat and onions. Drain grease.
  2. Add remaining ingredients except noodles and cheese. Simmer for 1 hour stirring frequently.
  3. Cook noodles, drain and rinse.
  4. Arrange alternate layers of noodles, meat sauce and cheese.
  5. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
