Ahhhh. A wonderful Lasagne recipe. This really hit the spot. I made this exactly as stated using freshly grated Parmesan cheese. I also used the full 1 tablespoon of salt (it was not too salty for my taste). Serve this with a nice glass of Merlot and you have heaven on earth. :-)

WOW! I've used numerous recipes for lasagna over the years and I've found the best one yet! I got kudos from the whole family and was told (and I agreed) it was better than any restaurant lasagna. Followed the recipe to the T but only ingredient I didn't use was the fennel only because I didn't have any on hand. It was a very simple recipe but VERY tasty!!

It's my DGS's 10th B-day and he requested lasagna so I went on a search here at zaar and found this one. Lucky pick for me as it was wonderful. The directions are clear and it went together so easy - I think this could easily be prepared early and kept in the fridge until ready to place in the oven. I did use those instant pasta that allow you to just place and not pre-boil and that worked like a charm. Other than that, made exactly as directed and wouldn't change a think. Everyone loved it. Served with Spinach and Strawberry Salad and Raspberries Romanoff and for adults added a bottle of Washington Merlot. What a nice evening that was enjoyed by all. Thanks Beaner for posting.

my husband was craving lasagna, and I've never made it before - I followed the recipe as written (I did use the tbsp salt - sea salt), and I ground up the tomatoes in my food processor (i don't like chunky sauce) - so i guess i didn't do it exactly as written :) anyway, it was delish!!!! easy to follow - i used fresh pasta b/c that's what they had a whole foods, the dish was smooth and tasty - my 2 and 3 year old loved it, and we've got plenty for later!!! thanks for posting!

One of our all-time favorite meals. The meat sauce is fantastic and would stand alone as a great sauce for any pasta. I have made this with regular and "no-boil" noodles, which saves time and still turns out great. We normally freeze the extra portions and reheat later. (350 for 1 hour, covered with foil)

I made two for a dinner party, one with sausage and one with all ground turkey (no fennel). Sooo good! People are still talking about it.

This recipe has great flavor and easy to make.I made it with all beef and no cook lasagna noodles.I didn,t use the ricotta cheese.I just mixed the meat mixture, then placed swiss cheese on top of the meat mixture, on each layer.I used only 1/2 teaspoon of salt .The cheese has salt
