From the southern Caribbean island of Bonaire. We lived there for 7 years and had lamunchi trees in a couple of our backyards. (We moved twice while on the island). A lamunchi is a cross between a lemon and a lime. I doubt if you'll find lamunchis in your local market, but lemons should do the trick for this refreshing drink!
- Combine and stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Serve cold.
- Garnish with lemon or lime slices and sprigs of mint for a festive touch, if desired.
Has exactly the right proportions of sugar and fruit. Recipe scales down well. I made this with lemonade fruit which I suspect are lamunchi. Thank you Martha!
I made this with lemon and limes. I also made ice cubes with it so not to water it down.
