Really top-notch. I've had beer can chicken before, and it was pretty insipid, but this marinade changes all that. Chicken was wonderful, crispy skin, juicy meat, excellent hot and great cold as leftovers. Technique note: I used a can of Foster's Bitter -- you know, the big wide cans? It made a much better stand than the 22 oz tall cans. I used hickory chips (all I had) soaked in about 1/3 the beer for 45 minutes...drank some beer, and cooked on the rest. It worked like a charm. It's a very fuss-free cooking method that's going to be very popular around here during grill season!
