I had really high hopes for this recipe, but it just didn't work out for me. The patties wouldn't hold together...maybe shredding the zucchini would have helped. Also, they were a bit bland. I tried them cold in a pita with spinach and onion, and also hot with chili sauce and chutney. Sorry, but I don't think I'll be making these again.

I didn't expect it to be so good! Instead of peas and zucchini I used swiss chard - probably a little over a cup. Left the skins on the sweet potatos too. Made my own chili reduction sauce with red thai curry paste, rice vinegar, maracchino cherry syrup, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Excellent on a little bed of mixed greens! Thanks!

This was great. I didn't have zucchinni so I doubled the peas and it worked out fine.
The cumin is a little overpowering, but good. We felt like it needed a liberal salting to bring out the best flavor. I also used garlic powder instead of a clover as I was in a hurry.
This was pretty easy to make. I started with nothing and it was ready in less than 45 minutes. If you ahd some leftover rice and used canned potatoes it would be even faster.
I can't wait to try this on a hamburger bun!

These were certainly taste (and very healthy!) but I wanted a bit more 'spice' to them. I think some curry powder would really suit the veggie/rice mix. I found the mixture easy to work with

These were very good. I followed the recipe to a T but found the patties came out wet while forming, and had to add significantly more breadcrumbs to hold them together in the pan. Once the right consistancy was acheived, they browned up nicely, and i found the outer browned bits to be the tastiest! They got darker and darker as I went, as I love a crispy coating. The flavor was good, but I did feel it needed something else - some minced onion? another clove of garlic? I ended up really hitting it with the sea salt and adding some lemon rind which brightened it up beautifully. I would suggest this or squeezing fresh lemon on them before serving, as the recipe suggests. Very good overall though, and I wil make again and tinker with. Wonderful to have on hand when Veggie friends are visiting! Thanks Stardusannie for a new and unique recipe!

Because I love garlic, I increased the garlic to 4 cloves, minced, but otherwise made these exactly to the recipe. A lovely combination of flavours and textures! The cumin was just a fabulously flavoursome ingredient in these patties. I served them, with tzatziki made with creamy Greek yoghurt, both warm and at room temperature next day with baby spinach leaves in what was a fabulously gourmet take-to-work sandwich! Thank you, Stardustannie, for a delicious, low fat recipe which – having made it on this occasion for Pick a Chef 2006 – I know I’ll be making again. Especially since it’s equally yummy warm or at room temperature.

Absolutely delicious, Annie. Dh loaded on so much chili sauce, he didn't have a clue what he was eating-and I didn't tell him. He thinks he had meat for dinner. I made half a recipe for the two of us and that seemed about right. I used brown basmati and followed the recipe, changing nothing. I may make the entire recipe next time in order to have some for lunches the next day. Dh seemed to think he wanted to try it as a burger. In that case I'll just make the patties larger.

What a nice surprise! I can't believe I had the stuff to make this but I did! Cleaning out the fridge and I had to use up sweet potato, rice and zucchini! I was skeptical, but this is such a nice lunch! I used brown rice but that was the only sub. Oh! bumped up garlic to 2 cloves after reading another review. Not dissapointed at all! Thank you! I am eating them with salsa and sour cream. Defenitly preffer them warm.

These were so yummy! I made a huge batch of them and froze them for meals throughout the week. I topped them with chilli sauce and served with veges and pita bread. Great recipe - thanks!

These are FABULOUS!!! I ate mine on a bed of spinach and KC had them as a side to his steak. I followed the recipe to a "T" and did not change a thing. We both love sweet potatoes but this really brought them to a new level! So addictive. I am planning on making them again to use as a burger. Thank you for posting this wonderful recipe!!!
