I found this recipe in the newspaper 30 years ago. It was so unusual that I had to try it. I've been making it ever since. Don't skip the butter on the buns!
Yum! The only reason that I'm not giving stars is because I made too many substitutions (canned salmon for tuna, red for green bell pepper, fat free mayo, chow-chow for relish..) but, had I stuck to the recipe as written, I can't imagine anything less than five stars!! I have a grip and a half of extra sauerkraut to use (I could eat the stuff, straight .. but.), and this was PERFECT! I also just eyeballed all of the measurements, and read the previous reviews .. so mine was perfectly "kraut-y." :) Thanks for a DELICIOUS sandwich, AND wrap!

This is sooo good! I have made it 4 times in the last 2 weeks and can't imagine getting tired of it. I used 2 cans of tuna and omitted the green pepper. Everyone I've served it to has had the same reaction, love at first bite. Thank you for posting this yummy recipe!

I knew I wanted to give this a try, but I had no idea what to expect. This is really good! I took the advice of another reviewer and doubled the amount of tuna, and instead of hamburger buns, I used lightly buttered hot dog buns. You know, you really don't even notice the tuna in the recipe--even when the tuna is doubled. That's kind of nice if you are like me and want to eat canned tuna often (for the omega 3). I love canned tuna, but it can get hard to find recipes that are different enough to keep it from getting boring. This one is fantastic--and you even get healthy probiotics from the kraut! Can't beat that!. I'll make this one often.
