Kossmans Oatmeal Cookies

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup sugar
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1 egg
• 3 tablespoons milk
• 1 cup oatmeal
• 1 cup flour
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 cup raisins

directions

1. cream the butter.
2. add the sugar.
3. add the beaten egg.
4. add milk.
5. sift hte flour.
6. baking powder baking soda and salttogether
7. add next
8. add raisins.
9. then oats.
10. drop from spoon on greased pan bake in moderate oven 350 degrees.
11. no time is given so i will guess 10 minutes.

Darlene Kossman is right. These are very good cookies. I overcooked the first batch. I was busy doing other things and didn't hear the timer therefor I'm not sure how long they baked. The second batch were baked for 10 minutes as suggested. The second batch looked right to me but DH preferred the first batch so I guess they weren't really overcooked at all. All in all I got 30 nice sized cookies from this recipe. They were made yesterday and there are only about half a dozen cookies left in the cookie jar. Thanks for this keeper.
