This Korean recipe is for marinating meat and fish before broiling or stir-frying.
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1⁄2 cup dark corn syrup
- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 2⁄3 cup water
- 1 tablespoon ginger juice or 1 inch ginger, sliced or 2 teaspoons ginger, powdered
- 1⁄4 cup rice wine or 1⁄4 cup sake
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Combine ingredients in a saucepan and simmer on low heat until thick.
