I really enjoyed this, especially as it was so fast to make. I did use a ginger-garlic paste, as it's what I have. I topped it with chopped radish, cucumber and green onion, as well as a fried egg, which is a common addition to beef bowls. I might reduce the sugar just a touch next time, but overall, this was good.

This was surprisingly good for a first try! I used fattier ground beef because on hand, and about 2 tsp fresh minced ginger because also on hand, but it turned out delicious. I would have liked a bit more "sauce," but not at the sacrifice of this awesome flavor. It was a delightful change from my normal use of ground beef, and will be a definite repeat! It seemed to be beneficial to keep the beef in larger chunks than fine crumbs. Served with white rice and broccoli.

I live in the Kansas City area and have many hobbies including cooking, reading and spending time with my husband and two children who are very active in sports now. I also have an eBay business which is a fun hobby that makes a little extra money! My interest in cooking focuses on making healthy dishes that are more satisfying than the higher fat and higher sugar versions. If I had a month off with no responsibilities, I would spend it at a luxury spa.
