We used one packet of kiwi strawberry and one packet of fruit punch and it was a MAJOR hit. My 5 yr old now calls it Laffy Taffy pie :) Thanks

Sign in or create an accountIt was too tart for me when I used a whole package of koolaid, but I cut it down to half of a package (pink lemonade made it taste just like lemon icebox pie!) and it was perfect!

Students in my Foods I class were really not pleased.Only 1 out of 16 really liked it. We varied it through kool-aid flavors and the amount (1 and 2 pks. kool-aid). In my opinion, it makes a great light dessert, however. Do you think cream cheese and/or sugar could be added to give it more flavor?

It's tart because you are only supposed to use ONE package of koolaid (per all the other recipes for koolaid pie I know) Try it with one and see if it's better!

Sorry we didn't like it,I used tropical punch, to us it tasted like childrens chewable vitamins. Maybe a different flavor would have tasted better-Like Lemon. Was WICKED easy to prepare.

I loved this pie! It is so easy and it is just perfect for holidays! I made cherry for Easter, for 4th of July I might try swirling a red and a blue kool-aid flavor. Even though I love SweeTarts though, this was a little bit too tart for me. I had to add 2 tbsp of powdered sugar. Still very tarty though. Thanks for this versitile and yummy recipe!
