What a great change of pace from regular banana cream pie! I love it!! The filling is to die for! Made for ZWT and the Saucy Silverados!
OK, so I should have made 2 pies! The coffee really makes this version deliciously 'different' and the whole family loved it.
This is a wonderful combination of flavors. I used Splenda in place of the sugar and topped it off with Whipped Cream which was sprinkled with a few chopped macadamia nuts.
Really the crust makes this pie, I increased the macadamia nuts to 1/3 cup because we simply love them! I love the addition of the coffee in this pie, I did increase the sugar to 1 cup, I will make this again soon, thank you for posting Annacia!...Kitten:)
Delicious! And fabulous! And wonderful! This was so good. I'm not a baker, but you might turn me into one after this pie. I was able to get some real Kona coffee and it was a great addition. DH and I both kept sneaking back in the refer for 'just one more piece'. Thanks Annacia for sharing this great recipe.
