This was surprisingly tasty. I got two little kohlrabi from my CSA, and never having had them, I did a search here. The recipe was very easy and the flavor was very nice. I wish I had more kohlrabi so I could make it again. I wasn't sure from the directions if I should peel the kohlrabi, but I did, and that seemed the right thing to do.

We were kohlrabi virgins & needed a good first recipe, this was it. The only thing I might change is the nutmeg, because I use whole nutmeg & grind it freshly it was a bit overwhelming, but that's not the fault of the recipe. Thanks for a great recipe.

Really good. I had kohlrabi from our CSA and had never had it before. It kind of reminds me of a cross btwn brocoli and parsnips. I really liked the nutmeg in it and never would have thought of that!

This was great. It was our first attempt at kohlrabi and we have decided we like it a lot. We also had some raw on a salad yesterday and that was good too. I am sure we will be making this again. We didn't mash them.

Who knew kohlrabi was so sweet and wonderful!?! Thank you so much for broadening my vegetable palette Bergy. This is so good, if you didn't tell the kids what was in it-they'd eat it.

Lovely simple flavours. I used organic purple kohlrabi from our weekly local CSA basket, organic purple and orange carrots unpeeled but I suggest for company you peel them as the skin falls off upon mashing, no nutmeg as we do not consume intoxicants (I tried my regular substitute of organic allspice but preferred it without), no optional butter although it would be delicious, grey sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper. This dish would go with just about anything! I love the flavour of kohlrabi..

Very good! I loved the nutmeg. I used a bit of fresh ground nutmeg. The combination of the sweet carrots with the broccoli-like kohlrabi was delicious. Bergy always has great recipes!!

I added the butter and instead of the nutmeg I used dill. Wonderful! Great use of kohlrabi.
