This dip is delicious, but be careful it will give you a great deal of gas....sorry but that is what happens

I absolutely love this spinach dip. I think that it's the best spinach dip recipe ever. The crunch of the water chestnuts adds a nice texture to the dip. I sometimes make this with light mayo and light sour cream and it's still a big hit.

My friend made this and it was really good, she told me she left out the water chestnuts. *Update* I too made it, and I noticed the directions both on the back of the Knorr soup mix and here fail to mention that you should blanch the baby spinach if it's fresh. Just place in boiling water for no more than 1 min (or less) just until it starts to wilt. Then squeeze as much water as possible and the spinach will break apart.

have used this recipe for eons. it is not Cmas without it. to serve this dip, i purchase a whole round pumpernickel bread. hollow out the center and cut into cubes. pour the spinach dip into the bread, then place the cubes around the loaf and guests just dip the cubes into the dip. once the cubes are gone, guests just start breaking the bread off and dipping. there are no leftovers.

This is DD's favorite dip ever. She could eat it for breakfast if I'd let her. I made this for our football weekend bash and it was gone within the hour. Thank you for sharing with classic.

This spinach dip is an all-time favorite of mine. I used the suggestion of hollowing out grape tomatoes and cucumber slices and filling with the dip as a new way to serve. Fun and delicious!

Love this dip, but it also makes a great addition to hot cooked potatoes or to cooked and cooled potatoes to make a really good potato salad.
