januarybride I love your drink recipes, they never disappoint. What a treat this kiwi juice turned out to be. Tart, tangy sweet and absolutely delicious. Smooth and silky with a great after taste. This will be going into my Favorites for 2011 I can't wait to make this for girl's weekend this summer, I will be adding some Grey Goose to the mixture. . Kudos on a quick and easy to make recipe that is sure to thrill.
We used this as "witches brew" for a girls' night out Halloween party, and it was GREAT! I used about half lime juice and half lemon. Everyone loved it--not too sour, not too sweet. And for our purposes, the color was exactly what I wanted! My only note after having made it a few times, is be sure to rinse the kiwi after peeling and before cutting! (Otherwise it's a little "fuzzy" tasting...)
although I used unpasteurised local honey and freshly squeezed lime juice to taste.
I originally saw this in the Rachel Ray magazine and the original recipe didn't state the water in the ingredients list, but in the text so the first glass was horrible. After reading it here I realised I had missed the water so added it and it tasted much better, however it was very seedy from the kiwis and it still was very tart. No one I served it to could (or maybe didn't want to) finish even a small glass.
Fabulous, I always have a tonne of lemons during Spring/Summer and this is a lovely way to use some up and get a good kick of antioxidants from the kiwi at the same time. I used Splenda in place of sugar & also added a bit more water as it was still quite sweet for me. Lovely drink, thanks JB!
wow this drink is like a cocktail with out the alcohol its really good tart and sweet at the same time. I made it for 2 serves as i was only me drinking it.
