Nine minutes? Sure, if you want your potato petrified.
One yukon gold - wash & poke holes - 2.5 min, flip, then 1.5 min (4 min total) - perfect. We have a newer (i.e., stronger) microwave, hence the lower times. Thanks so much, Kittencal - poking & flipping them was the secret!
Awesome recipe! Easy and quick for busy nights. Thanks for sharing!
Great for college kids like me to cook in my room!
Thanks for this idea!
These were good and easy to make. I followed the recipe as written, using the baked potato button on my microwave so I am not sure how long they cooked. We all enjoyed them. We like potatoes a bit more crispy but when you are short on time, these are great.
Simple and delicious!
Fantastically easy to prepare! Baked potatoes in minutes--perfect for lunch, or to go along with dinner when you've come home and can't be bothered to wait for an hour. I've topped these with tomatoes and green onions, along with the other ingredients. Lovely! Thanks, Kittencal!
This is the perfect lunch. You can lower the calories so easy by using light sour cream and I Can't Believe butter. I couldn't for the life of me remember how long to nuke the potato, so this recipe was perfect. I have an 1100watt microwave, so I do 2.30min then flip and do another 2.30. Sometimes it needs a little extra time, but that just depends on the size of the potato.
Thank you for posting.
Perfect! This is the way my Mom always makes baked potatoes - classic comfort food in a snap. I used these for another recipe, so just used the cooking method - but it worked great! Thanks for sharing.
