Love,love this pie! Tastes just like the lemon pie at OCharleys restaurant. Came out perfect. Everyone loved! Definitely a keeper.
I'm so very confused. Do I use 3/4 cup homemade whipped cream? Or whip 3/4 cup heavy cream - which would equal much more than 3/4 cup whipped cream and use it all. I'm unsure of the instructions because "3/4 cup cream, whipped" woud equal much more than "3/4 cup whipped cream". I see the instructions say both. If I'm supposed to use 3/4 cup homemade whipped cream, why not just write that or even '1/4cup+2Tbsp cream, whipped'. Any help please? I need to make this pie and hope to do it exactly as kittencal intended it.
I was very close to throwing this away last night. First of all the filling over filled the pie crust, I used a no bake graham cracker crust. I ended up having to scoop out some of the cream cheese and lemon filling after this my pie looked like a mess. Also it's very lemony. Even the cream cheese mixture was lemony. I decided to let it set overnight in the fridge. The next day I whipped up more whip cream topping and covered the pie. This made it presentable. Wow! It was surprisingly good, still very lemony but my dad loved it. Was even talking about selling some at a yard sale.
This pie is worth the effort! I tried it last month for a birthday party and will now make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas every year! It is the only pie that is worthy to serve alongside my moms pumpkin pie recipe. I used to buy a lemon cream pie from bakers square, this is even better. This pie is deserving of the five star rating.
This was the absolute best pie ever! I made it for a bake sale and it was a huge hit! Plus, I LOVED it! And I usually don't even like lemon anything!

What a great pie! I made this for a potluck at work and everyone loved it, including the guy that doesn't like pie. I did make one slight change and that was to use a graham cracker crust instead of a regular pie crust. For any beginners out there, don't be intimidated by the recipe it is super easy to do!
I also think I can use the two separate fillings for other purposes! The cream cheese one would make a great fruit dip.
