My husband said "they were restaurant quality burgers". I loved them too. I added egg, breadcrumbs and bacon to the ground beef. I used just a little over a tablespoon of the creamcheese mixture. Next time I will add more. I made this with Kittencals dill potatos and had Kittencals Apple Crunch for dessert.
topped with caramelized onions, bacon and mayo.. SO good. Next time need to use the whole jalapeno, wasn't spicy at all.
It didn't take me long to make these up, and they were so delicious on the grill. I have shared this with lots of my friends and they send rave reviews too!
These are awesome burgers!! The only slight changes I made was instead of 1 large jalapeno I used homemade cowboy candy #101698, I also made home baked hamburger buns using Jalapeno Bread. This dinner was pure jalapeno heaven!! Thanks Kittencal..another wonderful meal!
These are sooooooo good!!!! This is now the favorite burger recipe at our house. Thanks for another great recipe!
A little salty with the soup mix, so next time I will try some sodium free beef bouillon and dried onions instead. We loved the idea though and the flavors were great other than it being salty. Thanks!
I halved the dry soup mix to cut down on the salt, as there is a lot of sodium in these, but they were so good, it's ok to indulge once in awhile! We ate these right up, no problem!
Delicious! Just as I was preparing for dinner, more guests arrived so I improvised-for 1 lb. of meat, I used 1/2 the cream cheese w/ jalapenos; for another lb, I used 1/2 the cream cheese mixed w/ shredded cheddar and crumbled bacon; for another lb, I used shredded pepper jack and bacon. I don't know who got what but all were raving how great they were!!! Served w/ Barbecue Potatoes (Oven or Grill), Almost Marzetti's Slaw Dressing, and Grilled Pineapple Slices w/ cinnamon ice cream. Thank you, Kitten, for your great recipe and the ideas it sparked!!!
I made the whole recipe twice and each time I've made 7 burgers -- but I end up freezing for later. So freakin' good. I do add panko breadcrumbs and egg white to bind it. The first time I made them I didn't seal the edges good enough, this time, I used the extra burger meat from what would have been burger #8 to seal the edges & fill any holes before cooking. Thanks so much!
