Delicious! I used three jalapenos that I roasted and peeled, rather than using them raw. I also shredded half the cheese and and cubed the rest. That way the bread flavor was very cheesy, and there were molten pieces throughout. Other than that, I followed it exactly. Just a little spicy and a lot delicious. Texture was perfect.

OMG! This bread is Wonderful! I just made it this morning, and I'm afraid that it is already half eaten. I am sure you get tired of great reviews, but you are an amazing cook and deserve every one of them. Hats off to you again for another AWESOME Recipe!!! I posted a picture of my loaf before I started eating it. I braided mine, just because I love to braid bread. Chef Howe

Good Golly Miss Molly!!!!!!! Absolutely devine bread! It made two HUGE loaves, so I took one, fresh out of the oven to our next door neighbors. After we cut into our loaf, I wanted to go over and get it back because it was just too good to give away!!!!! Dave and I ate half of our loaf with our soup. This bread was very easy to make -- I loved the consistency of the dough. I'm wondering about using some pepper-jack cheese in it next time in place of the cheddar????? Kitten, this is amazing bread!!!!

OMG!!! Kittencal, YOU ROCK!! This recipe is the best of the best of the best and I am so not kidding! It is bakery store bought quality if not better! I was just at Henry's Market that had Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Bread that looks exactly like this one but yours is much better because it is freshly baked from my oven! I added, of course, some dough conditioner and a little potato flour to keep moisture in the bread. I made mini loaves and muffins out of this. I've been eyeing your other recipes on here and they all seem yummy! But I got to say, this one is a ultimate keeper. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

I am eating this hot from the oven as I type. Marvelous. Thank you so much. Now I can stop paying $5 a loaf for this at my local grocery store. As usual, Kittencal doesn't dissapoint. If you haven't already tried her recipes do. You will not be disappointed.

This turned out excellent! Very fresh tasting and fluffy. A little time consuming but that what it takes to make this bread. No taste of the Jalapeno at all. Well blended!Give this bread a try and you will have the same response as I, made 2 large loafs.

This bread is fabulous! I also used jarred jalapenos and since I let my yeast proof a bit too long, I had to split the dough a third time for a total of 4 loaves. I baked them in a round 8 inch cake pan, as I was trying to duplicate what I get in the grocery store. Added more cheese and jalapenos on top, and it came out amazingly perfect. Exactly the results I was trying to achieve. Thank you for a great recipe!

This was great! My husband and I loved it! I'm just beginning to make breads and I was excited that this turned out so well, thank you for the detailed instructions. I don't have a mixer so I just did it by hand which seemed to work well enough, it was fun trying to get the right consistency. I halved the recipe and probably added about 1/2 cup extra flour. I used quickrise yeast but let it rise for the time indicated by the recipe despite what it said on the package, it baked up nice and fluffy and super delicious! It was great with our soup, thanks!

DH said that this is the best looking bread he has ever seen and then after we tasted it, it is just down right delicious. I only made half a recipe for one loaf, Do try this wonderfully flavored bread. Served it with Recipe #306506.

Another 5 stars for one of Kittencal's recipes. I made this the other day but am just getting around to rating it now. I halved the recipe and it turned out beautifully. Thanks for providing such a great bread recipe for my brand new Kitchenaid Stand Mixer!

I followed this recipe almost to the letter, using sesame seeds for the top, and adding an extra jalapeno. While the bread was good, I found the cheese flavor to be a bit lacking, even after using 10 oz. of grated, good-quality sharp cheddar. Perhaps it needs some fresh chives or green onions, or maybe a bit of extra sharp cheddar, but still, this made a very good bread that rose well and made large loaves. To anyone preparing to make this bread, be sure to use bread flour, not all-purpose, and don't worry about the dough being too sticky before the cheese goes in. Just make sure the dough is in a solid mass before adding the cheese, and it will be easy to work with. In the end, it is a recipe I will hold on to and make again for sure. I bet this would make an awesome sandwich bread as well.

I REALLY wanted to try this bread...but when I went to make it, several days after returning from the store, that the cheddar had disappeared! I only had asiago and sharp provolone, so I used them, plus 1 TBS of red pepper flakes and 1 tsp of garlic powder. Okay, well I stink at making bread, but this was the best. My husband said it was comparable to Panera, so thanks! Can't wait to try it the way you intended!

Kittencal, woman, you did it again. I've been playing around with my first breadmaker for months now, and never did I get such airy, light bread. Is it the egg? Or maybe it's my new use of the breadmaker, read on. I omitted the peppers so I just made cheese bread, and I added a good sprinkling of sage. I had my breadmaker do the kneading (and had to add a good half cup of additional flour). I then let the breadmaker do its thing, until right before the baking (this means that the dough had already risen twice). I took the dough, shaped it in 5 rolls (I used half the recipe), let it rise again (double size indeed!) and sprinkled with sesame seeds or parmesan, then baked it as described. I, too, expected to find bits of cheese inside, but instead the bread just tastes wonderfully cheesy and has these cheese-lined bubbles inside. This will go absolutely great with my all time favorite onion soup (#607). Keep 'em coming Kitten!

I added ground chipotle pepper instead of sauce & thought I'd cheat & use the bread machine (lazy me), I don't recommend cooking it in the bread machine. Use the dough only setting & then remove, let rise until doubled as suggested (that's what I plan to do next time). Even though I had to cut the resulting loaf in half & bake for additional time in the oven it was fabulous! I highly recommend adding ground chipotle pepper (from Smart & Final) for a lovely smokey touch... Kittencal, you've done it again, this is a keeper!
