I finally made this! It is amazing! I am having a hard time resisting eating the whole pan... I used regular green cabbage and russet potatoes with the peels left on. The simple seasoning of seasoning salt and lots of pepper complimented the dish beautifully. I didn't even need the parmesan cheese but I'm sure it would be good added to it. I like the idea linpo had to serve with an egg. I plan to eat this for breakfast and it would make a nice side dish as well.
Loved it! Loved it! I added hamburger and sauteed onions and some jalepenos to spice it up as a main dish. I also went the pathe of using a little oil instead of butter ( I hate the taste of butter myself).It is very easy to prepare as well.
My husband and I love this recipe !!! We took the left overs and served it with a sunny side up egg and it was still delicious. This time I will try to lighten it up a bit (as we are trying to be healthy) and make it with the 2 tsp olive oil as another poster said. Serving with lamb chops. Feeling kinda Irish.
This was really good! I couldn't find savoy cabbage so I used regular...scaled down the recipe quite a bit using one large red potato and about 7oz of cabbage, this worked out well for the two of us. As usual the technique was great, will be making again! Thanks for posting!
This is incredible! The potatoes were crispy on the bottom and creamy on the inside, the cabbage was mixed in like a dream, and the Parmesan topped off, for me anyway,a perfect side! I didn't add any meat to it, because it was a meal in itself. I did add some onion, which I sauteed' along with the cabbage. I loved the way it turned out with some parts crispy and the others smooth and sort of sweet with the sweet onion I'd added. I must say,"I loved this recipe". My boys didnt like it to much but I did. I will make this again! Next time I make this I am going to fry my potatoes a bit more and add some polish sausage! I think it is good, cheap and filling. I will add to my favorites! Thanks ;)
Yummy! I love red potatoes and I especially love them with cabbage! I even love to just microwave them together and sprinkle Molly McButter on them for a lighter version of this, have done it for years as a light lunch so when I saw this I just had to try it! I made it for dinner tonight as a side for "Baked Chicken Baked Chicken" and they were wonderful together :). Thanks a bunch! I love every Kittencal recipe I have tried!
My husband and I both loved this!! It was my first time preparing cabbage this way, definately not the last. We have several heads of cabbage in our garden growing and I am looking forward to this dish very soon!

Loved this and wanted more but it was GONE! I've sauted cabbage many times but never thought to add the potatoes. Like Irish Colcannon but better. Thanks...this will be used regularly.
