I love caesar salads and have always shyed away from making them at home. No more, this is so easy and tastes great. Its fast, easy and tastes just like the restaraunts. I used anchovy paste instead of the fillets, other then that I followed to a T. Thank you for posting.
This was a nice flavor dressing, however I choose to think of it as a ranch rather than a caeser. Either way this is a great additional to my collection of homemade dressing. I did double the garlic, (we just love the stuff) and at the end of processing it I added fresh parsley for color. used buttermilk to thin it and also used half parm and half romano cheese. Tastes great!!! Thanks for sharing!
This was outstanding. Just what I was looking for. Added one more close of garlic as we love it.
This is a TERRIFIC caesar dressing, so far my favorite. It was a big hit at my Christmas Eve feast. Thanks again Kittencal!
Wow! Kittencal has the best recipe for Caesar Salad by far. I made Kittencal's Garlic Croutons for this recipe too. I couldn't stop tasting this dressing before and after we had it for Thanksgiving. My Mother tried it and said that it reminded her of a caesar salad that she used to get years ago and hadn't tasted anything so amazing since. Until this! I made the recipe note for note and used fresh parmesan cheese. I chose to use milk instead of cream and low fat mayo as suggested. The dressing was unbelievably rich and tasty and a perfect balance of garlic, anchovies, etc. Thanks again!
Wonderful! Amazing! Yum! Great!(Quoting the crowd! ) Everyone loved this salad. A definate keeper! Thank you so much for the recipe! :) SO SO SO much better than store bought!!
Outstanding! This is the best Caesar Salad I've ever had. I will NEVER be able to buy Caesar salad dressing at the store again! I used Hellman's light and fat-free half-and-half and it came out terrific. Also, I did add in the anchovy's, which I would highly recommend.
WOW is the word that came to mind with the first bite of this delicious salad. The dressing is rich and garlicky and although I was a bit afraid of the anchovy, it was a nice addition. I did add the optional Worcestershire sauce which to me was just the right touch. I served this with Mahogany Beef Stew and we had a very elegant and tasty meal combination. This is also so easy I will never buy bottled Caesar dressing again.
I thought this salad/dressing was easy & yummy. I had lots left over. Will buy 2 bunches of romaine lettuce next time. Thanks for sharing. I will definately make this again.
