Excellent, wonderful, finger licking deliciousness! I used a cookie sheet and lined it with foil, greased the foil, layed 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts down, seasoned of course and wrapped with another piece of greased foil. Done in 20 minutes! Shoulda watched out for that a little bit sooner since i still had to put bbq sauce on and let that cook on but either way, having it seasoned and cooked the way it is it was still good having been over done by 10 min! As always thanks kittencal!

I've tried several other oven-baked BBQ chicken recipes and this was by far the best. I do a mass cleaning (soak in lemon water and cut off the excess fat and skin) and seasoning of chicken on weekends and divide into gallon freezer bag portions and freeze. That way the chicken marinates while it defrosts in the fridge, I used the pre-seasoned chicken but otherwise followed the recipe. It was moist and had a nice cooked on coat of BBQ. Thanks for posting. This is definitely a keeper.

This was absolutely finger-licking good! As far as the list of ingredients, I've use the same before, when baking my own version of bar-b-q chicken. However, my method was totally different...I was never really pleased with the end results...but I now believe the secret lies in the preparation! I am very glad you posted this! Thanks a million!

So simple and my entire family loved it! For the sauce, I used recipe #16575 which I simmer and keep in a jar in the fridge. Used all chicken legs cause the boys love them. Next time I'll try skinning the chicken before baking just because I hate losing the BBQ yumminess when I pull off the skin. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Wow, I have to say I am impressed! Even though it lacked that slightly smokey flavour you actually get from BBQ-ing on a charcoal grill, I felt this recipe was spot on! I did however, marinate my chicken in a mix of herbs we use when we are BBQ-ing. I liked the addition of the garlic flavour and I only used chicken thighs (skinless) because this is what I had on hand. The meat was tender and flavourful! I served this with fried rice and lo mien and spooned some of the extra sauce from the pan on top. Delicious! I will definitely have this again - no need to light up the grill just to get BBQ Chicken! Thanks for sharing!

The chicken turned out okay. I wish I knew what a Jelly Pan Roll is. I'm just plain stupid so I apologize. It's probably common knowledge but I just used a pan and lined with tin foil. I can do internet reasearch for this but I am too buzy being the working person and meal maker in my family. Sorry. It turned out eatable the way I did it. I took a pizza pan and put foil over it and baked the chicken witht the foil closed over the top. I think that was right. It was the good non stick foil. I took the skin off as I made this recipe a couple weeks ago and the skin was soggy even after trying to salvage the meal by using a boiler. So, this was my 2nd attemt. My husband complained about the soggy crust and I was emaborrossed and I felt awful. It's a great recipe but I need to tweek it a bit. And, ANYONE... what is a JELLY PAN ROLL!!!

I followed the instructions meticulously and the chicken was spectacular. Every piece was juicy and the combination of the spices plus a nice store-bought BBQ sauce was fabulous.

I have made this twice now. The first time I made it on the racks and the second time I made it without them. Both times they turned out perfect. The white meat was juicy instead of dry. Cooking times were right on. Another finger licking good recipe from kit. Thank you!

A great backup when the weather suddenly turns bad and you can't make barbecued chicken over a low and slow charcoal fire. We had plans to use the Weber, but had to change our plans at the last minute. It was Recipezaar and Kittencal to the rescue, and this recipe did not disappoint.

I'm pretty picky about my bbq chicken. Even on the grill, it is hard to perfect but that is our preferred method. I've never made good oven bbq chicken.....until now! Thanks so much for the recipe, so easy and flavorful! I let it sit on the stove while we waited for my husband to get home and it was so nice and carmelized, really cured our winter blues! I used a local favorite bbq sauce. Big Ricks. I reccomend that if you live or are around the Wichita area to pick some up. We love the regular and Spicy!

It's really simple and the best easiest way to cook barbecue chicken without the grill

Another go-to recipe from Kittencal! I was craving BBQ chicken and didn't feel like grilling but really dislike the soggy, rubbery oven baked BBQ I've made in the past. No more! The rack is brilliant as is the rest of the process. Thank you for another keeper! My kids gobbled it up!

Yes, this is pretty basic, but the METHOD is what's important, not so much the recipe itself. This method produced the best drumsticks I've ever made in the oven. I used a rack on top of my largest jelly-roll pan, which I lined with foil for easy clean-up. I've never used the lowest rack position, so that was new to me, also. Same thing with the seasoned salt...I would have never thought to use it. I used Jack Daniel's Honey Smokehouse on half of the drumsticks and used Jalapeño & Honey BBQ sauce on the other half. The directions and method here are perfect and I would definitely use this again. My kids and husband really enjoyed! (I don't eat skin, so my portion wasn't as flavorful...next time I will take the skin off of mine before cooking so the seasonings and sauce can penetrate.) Thanks!

I'm so glad you posted this recipe. I wanted some barbecued chicken and I wanted a quick and easy recipe that would help me prepare it. I came across your recipe and love how simple it is. I made the chicken last night, I ended up just seasoning as needed . I then followed your instructions exactly as written. You gave the perfect cook times, 45 mins to start was perfect, my chicken even the big breast pieces were looking good and smelling good. I used Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Barbeque, and it was the perfect combination with this recipe. The chicken was wonderful, just what I wanted. The only thing I will do different next time would be to foil my pan as someone else suggested. Will definitely keep this recipe, and use it when I want barbecue chicken. Thank You Kitt. Update: I now have a new appreciation for bone-in chicken breasts thanks to this recipe. I usually shy away from them, because I find them dry and tough, not anymore! They were awesome!

This is my hubby's rating. I have to agree. The chicken was good, but not fantastic. I did use Sweet Baby Ray's for my sauce. I would make again, but not too soon. Your recipes I will always love to try. Thanks so much for another one! Beth
