Excellent! Creamy and rich. I made 2 changes. One was to put a layer of cooked steamed rice on the bottom of the casserole dish and then top it with the chicken divan mixture. The other was to use bread crumbs instead of crackers because that's what I had on hand. This recipe made enough for me not only to feed my husband and my self but 2 8x8 pans for the freezer. I wouldn't hesitate to serve this to guests. Thank you so much for posting this Carol.

I've made this before as written with chicken and really liked it. This time I some leftover turkey from thanksgiving and used that and the result was just as fantastic. Was a great new use for leftovers. Family just loves this dish!!

Thanks for submitting this recipe, but we wouldn't do it again. The mayonnaise and sour cream flavors were dominant, it was pretty salty, and there wasn't much substance or texture to it. Sorry ...

This is beyond DELICIOUS !! I made it last night and we all loved it. The only things I changed was to cut the recipe in half (will fit a 9 /13 inch casserole dish perfectly) and I added fresh sliced mushrooms because I had some that needed to be used - about 1 cup. I also did not steam the broccoli and It was cooked through. I used Morton's Natures Seas. to taste (use it on everything) and fresh (small amount) oregano, sage and thyme from our herb garden. I covered the casserole with foil for 20 minutes and then uncovered it for 10 minutes -..350*. PERFECTLY
SCRUMPTiOUS. "lick your plate clean" delicious. Thank
you for posting it.
I'm going to try Cynjen's idea and top it with onion rings next time. Sounds great !!

This is a fantastic casserole!! I was waiting for my hubby's eye-roll (that's when I know something is a 'keeper') and it came right after he tasted it :-) The kiddos loved it also. I made a couple of subs.:
frozen broccoli florets instead
of fresh and used Ritz crackers
that were on hand instead of the saltines. Thank you for sharing
this delicious recipe!!!
