Fantastic and easy! I spent over and hour picking lettuce, radishes, peas, etc out of my garden; washing it all; chopping it all; boiling eggs, frying bacon, grating cheese. I get my gorgeous salad assembled and go to the fridge...there is not one single bottle of salad dressing. Once again, Kittencal saves the day. I just poured all the ingredients into an old olive jar and shook until blended. My salad is wonderful. Thanks Kittencal!

Whoa, WOW...this stuff is great! Needed this for a Chicken/Pear hero sandwich (rotisserie chicken breast served on a baguette w/ Bartlett pear slices & balsamic vinaigrette). The sandwich was very good....the Balsamic vinaigrette was great (& we didn't have time to allow it to chill as directed) I cannot wait to try this on more things. Kitten, your recipes never disappoint--thanks for another winner!

I was looking for a vinaigrette with some substance to serve over a dinner of quinoa, roasted acorn squash, other roasted veggies & feta. This was perfect. I was afraid it might be too sweet, but it wasn't. I liked that the honey thickened it up a little. I may in the future add some shallot, but other than that, I don't see any reason to veer from the original. Quick, easy and tasty, tasty, tasty!!! Thanks Kitten :)

Wow! Kittencal, you've done it again! This is just slightly better than my standard oil and balsamic dressing. When I say just slightly better, I mean it is just slightly harder but the result is so much more dramatic. The flavor reminds me of a dressing I had at a very fancy restaurant! The only other thing I can say was that this was so good my 19 month old asked for sticks of red pepper so she could just keep eating this dressing. Anything that gets a toddler to ask for vegi's is at least deserving of 10 stars!!!!!! Thanks kittencal!!

I feel so guilty as i make this dressing ALL the time and have never got 'round to reviewing it until now! Just wanted to say that this is a GREAT dressing and EVERY time I make it, at least one person asks for the recipe! It is super-easy to make and tastes 1000 times better than anything you can get in a bottle at the supermarket. I make it exactly as stated, except that I only use 1/2 tsp of salt (personal preference) because the first time I made it, it seemed very salty to me? But other than that it is perfect perfect perfect, thanks so much KC !

Made it exactly as written except I used my Total Blender. We absolutely loved it, it had great flavor and I love the creamy thickness of it :)

Finally!! I've been experimenting with vinaigrettes for the last week or so (and wasting a LOT of oil) and this one is PERFECT! Another Kittencal recipe added to my favorites.

This was a very simple dressing to make and very tasty. Ididn't feel like bothering with the garlic preparation so I used a dash of garlic powder instead. Otherwise I followed the recipe. It had a nice zing without being too bold or too bland. It was just right. It turned a simple salad of greens into something delightful. It was so good, in fact, that I had another salad later in the evening as a snack! Thanks for the recipe!!!

Some time back a friend told us about her favorite restaurant in Summerville, SC... Oscar's Place. We tried it out for our anniversary, and I had a few pleasant surprises... one was the lettuce wedge: Yes, a large delicious cold iceberg wedge topped with a fine creamy Bleu cheese & crisp bacon bits & some red onion slivers... so traditional with a little added embellishment... but then the "secret" balsamic vinaigrette drizzled over "traditional" knocks it out of the park!
Well, tonight I recreated the Oscar's experience at home thanks to Kittencal... her Balsamic Vinaigrette (plus 1T Brown Sugar) made a perfect Balsamic to drizzle about and over the "ordinary" wedge created at home. So good! Be sure to make ahead and CHILL it at least 2 hours per the instructions.

I made this to dress the salad tonight. It is a very nice vinaigrette that I wouldn't hesitate to make again.

This is just the best! It's not just for salad dressing. I've been using it for a year to marinade steaks and squash. It's especially delicious on grilled pork chops. I never change a thing!

I enjoyed this dressing on a green salad and doubled it so that I could use the remainder as a marinade for boneless, skinless breast of chicken, which I marinated 24 hours and then grilled. Delicious!

I love balsamic vinaigrette and this recipe is a keeper. Thank you, this is wonderful! I followed all directions exactly. Think I will also experiment with using flax or hemp seed oil!

Very nice! Love the addition of the mustard and honey which thicken it up so nicely. . .and allows me to use a lot less dressing (and thus less calories and less fat). THANKS! Served it atop a salad of iceberg lettuce, blueberries and apples.

LOVED THIS!! This is my favorite Balsamic Vinaigrette recipe. The honey really balances the flavors out. I used 1 lg shallot instead of garlic (personal pref). Quick and easy! I used it as a dressing for Cobb Salad. Another winner Kittencal!

A great balanced vinaigrette! I put all my ingredients in a plastic container and shook it until it was well-mixed. No mess, no whisking and no cleanup (just store the dressing in the same container). I used this over baby spinach with yellow cherry tomatoes, parmesan, croutons and bacon. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the perfect vinaigrette! We find the balsamic a bit too dominant so combined 2 TBS balsamic with 2 TBS wine vinegar and 2 TBS lemon juce. The green salad disappeared!
