OMG this is sooooo good. Made it for a potluck at work today and we were eating it hot for breakfast. It was supposed to go with a roast at lunch but there is not any left. I debated cooking it because it did taste good cold too but baking it is the way to go. We all loved this one. I will be making this a lot from now on. Another great recipe Kitten.
Very, very good! Made for a work party and the casserole dish was totally cleaned! We ate ours warm and it was like the best loaded baked potato ever. : ) Only made one substitution. Instead of seasoned salt & pepper, I added a small packet of dry ranch dip seasoning. It gave it a ranchy flavor without being too overpowering. Very tasty!
So very good! Thank you Kitten :-) We loved it! We had a taste before I put it in the oven and it was amazing. After I baked it wasn't quite the same so we think we'll eat it warm, but not baked next time. The flavors were so wonderful! I used the ham, the cubed cheddar, and a little shredded cheddar on top. I halved the recipe because there is just the two of us and it worked out great.
I think I love you Kitten! I haven't even put this in the oven yet and I can't stop eating it. I halved the recipe and now I wish I didn't, but I had to consider my thighs. I left out the meat because I'm serving it with flat iron steak, but I will be trying this with the meat, I can promise you that!
Made this last night for supper using southern style hashbrowns as I was out of potatoes and didn't have time to run to the store. I didn't add the ham but it didn't need it -- it was fantastic! The kids told me that I have to give this recipe to my mom as it is "better than grandma's cheesy hashbrowns" that she frequently makes for them. Can't wait to try this cold!
you are awesome kitten!!! this is to die for! I made this for the restaurant to serve instead of french fries with our sandwiches and it was a big hit! (I knew it would be, your recipes are the best). I baked my potatoes the night before and cubed them with the skin on..instead of boiling them. and I used 1 1/2# of cooked bacon pieces in place of the ham..mmmmmmm thank you for the recipe!!!
This was very tasty. I had along with Lisa's Grilled Steak Marsala and Broccoli Salad, which went together so well! I chopped my ham in my blender to get it finely shredded, as that is how we like it (it gets the meat all into every bite). Will make again and try low or no fat versions of mayo and sour cream next time and see how it works. Becky
YUMMY. This is sooooooo good. My picky husband loves this. My brother-in-law often calls to request that I make this. This has been a great success and it yummmmmmmmmy!
This was very good. I used low fat Dukes mayo and low fat sour cream and it still turned out great. I was going to use bacon instead of ham but forgot it so I used some sausage. Will be making again.
This recipe is fabulous! I used a 2-1/2 lb bag of thawed hash browns, very little salt due to my ham being salty enough, and didn't have any green onions, so just white. I realised too late I had forgotten to grease my pan, but no worries, it came out just fine. My husband LOVED this, and the leftovers were not left for long! :) A true winner!!!
