Kim's "Homemade" Tomato Basil Bisque (Low Fat)

- 793.78 g can crushed fire-roasted tomatoes
- 283.49 g can Healthy Request condensed tomato soup
- 354.88 ml vegetable broth or 354.88 ml chicken broth
- 2.46 ml granulated garlic
- 9.85 ml dried onion flakes (use fresh if you have it)
- 2.46 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 4.92 ml brown sugar
- 29.58-44.37 ml fresh basil (I have substituted a jarred basil pesto too)
- 226.79 g fat-free evaporated milk (*)
- salt and pepper, to taste
directions
- Combine first 7 ingredients in a pan and simmer with lid on for about 30 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
- Pour into a blender and add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. Gently reheat in pan or microwave. Do not boil or the milk will curdle.
- *You can adjust your liquids based on the thickness you desire. You may also leave out the milk if you prefer and add additional broth for desired consistency.
