My "special" grilled cheese, a family favorite.

I liked the flavor- nice for something a little different. I had this with spicy tomato soup (Ginger's "Dorito" Soup ) for a quick & easy lunch.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 4 slices bread
  • 5 slices cheese (your choice-I use typically use cheddar, swiss, monterey jack or a combination of the three)
  • butter
  • 2 teaspoons season salt

Directions

  1. Heat a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Place two and a half slices of cheese on a slice of bread, distributing the cheese as evenly as possible.
  3. Place the other slice of bread on top of the cheese.
  4. On top of the bread, spread butter.
  5. Sprinkle season salt on top of the butter.
  6. Cook for about a minute per side, till golden brown.
  7. Best served with cream of tomato soup.
