  1. So easy and the flavors really meld well. I'll make this again! (10/2/06 - I keep forgetting how easy this is. Really satisfying, quick and surprisingly light.)

  2. Simple great-tasting middle-of-the-week dish that will wait for you. We enjoyed this dish with Multi-Grain and More Bread recipe#52795. Thanks Lorac for posting this keeper recipe. We will definitely be having this often.

  3. Carol, you have a winner in this one! The flavors of the herbs combined with the sausage brought out the best of the canned beans (I used cannellini). This is a hearty, and filling dish with plenty of flavor. Thanks for sharing this tasty recipe that is now in my t&t cookbook. :-)

  4. Does not serve 4-6, only serves 2-3 max. It is deeeelicious! Easy, and kids loved it.

  5. Really easy and tasted good. I would definitely make it again. I actually thought the portions were small for 4, so I would serve with bread or salad next time.

Tweaks

  1. Nothing- but does not serve 4-6 in any way. Double it to do that.

  2. We liked this a lot! Used 2 onions and sauteed red and green bell pepper with the onions. Instead of tomatoes used spaghetti sauce. Had over pasta.

  3. Delicious recipe. I tried to offset the fat in the recipe by omitting the oil because kielbasa has enough fat in it and once it hit the pan it released it's own fat to be cooked in. I also used skinless kielbasa and fresh sage leaves instead of rosemary. I had a bag of freshly chopped kale and it made a nice addition to this recipe. I served it over whole wheat penne pasta which stretched the serving size and cut back on some more fat. What a great and easy and tasty recipe! Thanks!

  4. This was so easy and very good. I used garlic powder instead of garlic cloves, 1 tsp italian seasoning instead of the rosemary, oregano and basil, and 1 can diced tomatoes with green chilis for a little extra spice. I think next time I might add an extra can of beans, as other viewers have stated. Thanks so much for sharing!

  5. Yet another 5 star review- as suggested I substituted thyme for rosemary, added spinach, and an 2nd can of beans to spread it out. I also used turkey kielbasa to decrease the fat but the skins on the sausage were a little tough--my mistake.
