  1. If you're squeemish about the sauerkraut, a Russian recipe uses half fresh cabbage and half sauerkraut. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

  2. DH and I both love sauerkraut and smoked sausage so I was excited to try this. Unfortunately, it didn't work for us. We discovered that we really, really like our kraut "sour" without any hint of sweetness. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to try something different!

  3. I love sauerkraut! If you need a quick fix for sauerkraut, this is the recipe you need to make. Easy and delish! I would not change a thing. I cooked it for 40 minutes and then turned the oven off. I used a 9x13 pan. Thanks, Dancer

  4. Dancer, Thanks for the wonderful recipe. My DH and Mom loved it! Instead of mashed potatoes, we had pieroges (yummy!) I baked @ 325 degrees for about 40 minutes and it was perfect!!!

  5. Great recipe, quick and easy. It had a really good flavor. I halved the recipe to serve 2 people. I did not find it necessary to cook for an hour at 325 using the smoked keilbasa. I turned it down to 200 after the first 20 minutes, and it turned out fine.
