Came up with this while trying to use leftover ingredients and it has become a family favorite.
- 1⁄2 lb lean kielbasa, sliced
- 6 ounces elbow macaroni
- 1 1⁄2 cups shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- salt and pepper
- Cook macaroni until tender. Add butter, salt and pepper and stir in.
- cheese. Warm kielbasa for 1 minute in microwave and add to pasta.
Very good for a fast meal made with items I generally have on hand. Not company fare, but for week night family....great. i used regular cheddar since that's what I had. Good subtle flavors. Thanks for the recipe.
Good way to use leftovers! I did have to use regular cheddar due to ingredients on hand, but I think that this would be a simple dish to throw together with whatever cheese one had on hand. Made for PAC Fall 2008
I was so surprised at how light this dish tasted. It was such a cinch to throw together on a busy weeknight. I could've added more cheese and probably 1/2 - 1 tbsp more butter. Just be ready for a light pasta dish that does not have a saucy consistency. Still all around very good. This is a GREAT weeknight meal! Edited: I've made this again and I have to change my rating to 5 stars. The ease and the delicious taste really combine well for a great recipe. Thanks!
