This is a great recipe for children. My eight year old niece made this for a Christmas Party we were having. This was the kids snack before the food was served. She made this by herself with no problems and was quite pleased with the outcome! We used the Christmas m&m's instead of the peanut butter to make it more festive.
I needed something for the kids to take to school for snack time. I'd put in raisins or goldfish but their bag always came back full when they got home. This snack mix is perfect and a huge hit. I also love that I can assemble all of the bags at once which means less work for me in the morning before school.
Why have I been giving my kids a bowl of goldfish and then a bowl of craisins, dry cereal, marshmallows, etc when i could have just been doling out this magic combo!? We sub'd a few ingredients, but really loved the mixture and my daughter was so proud that she cooked something. I now have 10 perfect little snack bags lined up in the pantry-tx to you! Love it!
This was a great treat! I used the cheddar goldfish since they are the most common, but thought they seemed a little out of place with the other flavors; next time I'll try the plain cracker fish or just leave them out altogether. Not just for kids, I love this too - thanks for sharing!
