My kids had fun making these. But they didn't like them (the yeast flavor was to strong), which was a good thing. DH ate most of them. We made these with 3 different toppings, colby-jack cheese, kosher salt and cinnamon sugar. I used an egg wash for the salt and sugar to help it stick. Made for Spring PAC 2010.
I made these with my daughter and we used serveral different toppings: poppy seeds, sesame seeds, coarse salt, and cinnamon and sugar. (We used an egg wash to help the toppings stick.) Notice that this recipe makes enough for twelve SMALL pretzels, but it was just the right amount for our family.
