  1. These were great and my kids loved making them! What a great alternative to the real thing. We did use pretzel sticks to poke into the marshmallow so that everything would be edible. My kids took some in the lunch box and they were the envy of their lunch table (according to them). Thanks for this idea!

  2. This is always a crowd pleaser - I have always used pretzel sticks instead of toothpicks.

  3. Kids really do love s'mores pops! I made these for my nieces and they went gaga over them. I should have read the reviews first and used pretzel sticks instead of pop sticks. Perfect project to make with kids!

  4. Oh man, were these a hit at a friend's party! I ended up using 3 (14 oz) bags of marshmallows, 1/2 bag (equa1s 1 cup) of semi-sweet chocolate, 1/2 bag of dark chocolate, and 1/2 bag of milk chocolate, and 2/3 of a box of graham crackers (3 packages in a 14.5 oz box). I lined 2 professional-size cookie pans with aluminum foil (just for presentation) then laid a single sheet of waxed paper down over that. I processed the graham cracker crumbes in the food processor and dumped them into a bowl, melted the chocolates (one batch at a time) in a double boiler with 1 tbs shortening, per another reviewer's suggestion, and had my kids help me put the marshamallows onto some unpainted wooden craft (popsicle) sticks. We toasted all the marshmallows over med-low on the gas burner on my stove. Most of the marshmallows browned beautifully in just a few seconds, but a few caught fire- usually it was just a small portion of the marshmallow. We went ahead and dipped and coated them anyway, and kept them on a separate cookie sheet...those were our 'oops' s'mores. We took them along with us because we didn't want them in the house for us to eat and figured the kids at the party wouldn't care. It took us about an hour too make all 3 batches of smores pops. The adults went crazy over them- the 'foodies' seemed to love the dark chocolate the best (they said it was a 'sophisticated s'more'- LOL). The kids naturally loved the milk chocolate ones for the sweetness- the adults said they were almost too sweet- and most preferred the semi-sweet ones. The men on the whole went ga-ga over the 'oops' s'mores- said they reminded them of being a little kid and being too impatient to wait for marshmallows to toast evenly! I was alittle concerned about them drying out, as another reviewer commented, but becasue they were toasted it hid the fact. In general I would recommend using a name-brand marshmallow if you are concerned with the s'mores appearance, and if you toast them, let them cool slightly before dipping them in the chocolate, otherwise the marshmallow is too soft and will smear or smush. Total success and rave reviews for something so simple. Thanks for posting!

  5. It would be very cute if you dipped the pop in the marshmallow instead of making i with the pop. :))

  5. These are AWESOME!! Very simple to make, only took about 20 minutes, and they are very very tasty! Great for a bake sale at work, a nice light treat for adults and kids, they are a bit rick with the marshmallow chocolate combo but soo good! I may try agin with coconut and crushed peanuts instead of graham crumbs....
