I love kheema, so I had to try this. It was definitely a lot easier to make than the other kheema recipes I've tried, but it was a tad bit bland because the cooking time is so short... so I added some garam masala at the end (about a teaspoon) and the flavor of the dish perked right up. Oh, I also chopped up a serrano pepper and put it in with the onions- I loved the heat it gave to the dish. Thanks for sharing this quick and convenient Indian recipe!   1. Brown beef in a large skillet. Drain all but 2 tablespoons of fat. Add chopped.
  2. onions, garlic, ginger and salt to beef. Sauté 2 minutes. Stir in spices and mix well. Cook 1 minute over medium high heat. Add peas, potatoes and mix again. Bring to a boil, cover pan and cook over medium heat 10 minutes. Stir in sauce, water and chickpeas.

  4. Cover again and cook until chickpeas and potatoes are heated through.
  5. Serve over rice or in Pita bread, with yogurt, fresh tomatoes and sliced cucumbers.
