"This is delicious! I couldn't locate Key Limes or Key Lime Juice. Regular fresh limes worked fine. It's from Bon Appetite."

  1. This is truly outstanding! I must first say, that this is not the lime sorbet I was looking for, and I am not entirely sure that I would classify this recipe as "sorbet" at all. But I will say, that the flavor of this recipe is extremely outstanding! The taste is truly that of a frozen version of key lime pie : ) I made this with bottled lime juice in my ice cream machine and allowed to sit in my freezer to freeze for a few hours before tasting. There is not question that I will make this recipe again. It is wonderful! I served a scoop of this with Derf's recipe #17938 for one terrific dessert! Thank you, Kathy, for sharing this recipe!

  2. O.M.G!! Fabulous! The recipe is perfect as is. I used regular limes (8) and it is tart with an end note of zest. I used no zest, but the essence is there. Fresh limes are the way to go. So refreshing and delicious. Simply amazing. Thank you for sharing!

  3. This was quite nice but a bit too sweet for my taste. I used bottled Key lime juice that seemed to have a slight bitterness to it. Next time I will use 1/3 sugar and fresh lime and see if that makes a difference. This makes a refreshing summer desert.

  4. I used half key lime juice and half regular lime juice. It was smooth and sweet and verrrry limey. I will probably do less key lime next time but we sure did enjoy this recipe.

  5. I have a key lime tree in my garden and its loaded with fuit, so I am always looking for recipes with key limes. The grandchildren picked the fruit and squeezed the limes and my daughter and me made this ice cream. The taste is wonderful and the recipe so extremely easy. Thank you Kathy, I will make this on many occasions.
