    A quick and delicious Kentucky Derby dessert to put together! My mom got this pie from a co-worker and now we enjoy having it for birthdays and other special occasions.

      Combine all ingredients and mix with fork.

      Bake in pie crust at 350 for 45 minutes, or until brown on top!

      We loved it! The recipe is so easy. I made a few adjustments by doubling the amount of pecans and toasting them in a 400 degree oven. I also added twice the amount of chocolate chips. When I added the hot pecans to the batter, the chocolate chips melted quite a bit. The pie turned out much chocolatier than the pictures posted here. I thought it was delicious! I still have to try the original.

      Hi there! I live in Louisville, and I train a lot of folks from out of town. I have shared this recipe with folks for years :) I wonder if your mom is one of them? Anyway, this pie is GREAT. I hope you all enjoy it...from a true Louisvillian and a lover of derby pie! Enjoy!!!
