    Recently purchased a bottle of creme de cacao and began looking for recipes that included this chocolate flavored liquor. Since I am not much of a cocktail drinker, but love hot drinks this one really appealed to me. Have not tried it yet but decided to share my find.

    Units: US | Metric

    • 8 ounces hot cocoa
    • 3 ounces kentucky Bourbon
    • 1 ounce Creme de Cacao
    • 1/4 cup whipped cream
    • 1 teaspoon cocoa

      Mix the heated cocoa, bourbon and creme de cacao together and pour into glass mugs or any vessel you would use for an Irish whiskey.

      Top each beverage with half the whipped cream.

      Dust with a small amount of cocoa.

      The high today was 15 degrees and this recipe warmed me up from the inside out. I used the clear Creme de Cacao and it turned out very good. I think I'll skip the extra cocoa next time, but this recipe is a keeper. Would be really good after a long day skiing/snowmobiling!

      My hot cocoa was so chocolate rich, I could barely taste the bourbon! This is an outstanding cocoa!
